Job Title: Semi-Skilled Site Fitter – Architectural Metalwork & Balustrades
Location: Various Sites (London & Surrounding Areas)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 WEEKS PLUS
Rate: £140 to £150 per day
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Semi-Skilled Site Fitters to join a busy architectural metalwork installation team. The successful candidate will assist with the on-site fitting of balustrades, handrails, staircases, canopies, and other bespoke architectural steelwork.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with prior experience in construction or metalwork installation, looking to develop further within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation of architectural metalwork and balustrades on construction sites
*
Support skilled fitters with lifting, aligning, bolting, and fixing components
*
Use hand and power tools as directed
*
Ensure work is carried out safely, accurately, and in line with instructions or drawings
*
Handle materials and equipment safely on site
*
Maintain a clean and organised work area
*
Follow all health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
*
Work collaboratively with site teams and supervisors
Requirements:
*
Previous experience in site fitting, metalwork, or construction
*
Competent in the use of hand and power tools
*
Good understanding of basic site health and safety practices
*
CSCS card (essential)
*
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
*
Punctual, reliable, and a positive team player
*
Able to take instruction and willing to learn
Desirable:
*
Experience installing balustrades, handrails, or staircases
*
Familiarity with basic site drawings or measurements
*
PASMA, IPAF or Manual Handling certification
*
Driving licence and own transport
