Job Title: Semiconductor Resilience Engineer Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire Rate: £27.21ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £20.35ph PAYE Employment Type: Contract (12 Months) Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week Reference: (phone number removed) Job Description: Our client has grown with the Semiconductor Engineering Teams to improve focus on the semiconductor use throughout our vehicles. This team of Support Engineers manage and map the use and application of semiconductors throughout the vehicle. The team provide support activities and risk identification to the design teams and procurement teams. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: * Review of Tier 1 Bills Of Materials, using custom data analysis and review tools. * Support Engineering Design Teams in the use / review of the appropriate semiconductors. * Support Procurement Teams in the use / review of the appropriate semiconductors. * Assist the Supply Chain Team with any problem associated with the supply chain management role. * To understand and assess the risks associated with selected semiconductors. * To understand the life cycle of semiconductor products. * Build strong working relationships with Component Owners, Engineering, Suppliers, Procurement, Purchasing and Industrial Operations. Key Interactions: * Our client's Hardware Teams and Component Owners. * Semiconductor Manufacturers (IDM’s) and Tier 1 Suppliers. * Our client's Commodity Buyers and Sub-Tier purchasing or Component Technical Buyers. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Essential: * Firm understanding of electrical, electronic and electromechanical components. * Previous experience in electronic component sourcing would be an advantage. * Problem solver with an agile way of working. * Strong communication skills. * Relationship and Network builder – internal and external. * Fast learner – with a curious mindset. * Ability of being a strong team player in parallel of driving topics independently. * University degree, preferably in engineering.
