As we continue to grow, we are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive 1:1 Support Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support for one of our students.
The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with behavioural challenges, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
Support the child in managing aggressive behaviours through de-escalation techniques, positive reinforcement, and personalised strategies.
Work alongside teachers and other staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the child's specific needs.
Encourage the child's engagement in classroom activities and facilitate their learning in a calm, supportive manner.
Foster positive relationships with the child, helping to build trust and increase their confidence.
Monitor and document the child's progress, behaviour, and any incidents, providing regular feedback to the SENCo and teaching staff.
Work collaboratively with parents and external professionals to ensure consistent support for the child both at school and at home.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in a SEN setting or with children displaying challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children who may display aggressive or disruptive behaviour.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Experience with de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or support work (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Behaviour Management Training) are advantageous but not essential.
Flexibility and a proactive attitude to the evolving needs of the child and the school.
Why Join Us?:
Supportive and friendly team environment.
Opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life.
