Job Title: SEN Class Teacher Location: Chelmsford Salary Range: £100 - £230 per day (depending on experience) Start Time: Immediately / September 2025 Contract Type: Part-time / Full-time Are you a compassionate and dedicated teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? GSL Education are excited to be recruiting enthusiastic and nurturing SEN Class Teacher to work in a variety of specialist and mainstream settings across Chelmsford starting this September. About the Role As an SEN Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored education to students with a range of additional needs. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work or a more consistent long-term role, this position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a lasting difference in students’ lives. Responsibilities of an SEN Class Teacher: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement EHCPs. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and student welfare. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD. Strong behaviour management and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
