SEN Class Teacher| Northampton
Full-Time Position | Temp-to-Perm and Permanent Roles Available | September 2025 Start
Are you a compassionate and dedicated teacher with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of outstanding SEN schools and provisions in Northampton looking to appoint skilled SEN Class Teachers for full-time roles starting in September 2025.
Whether you're an experienced SEN teacher or a primary/secondary teacher with a genuine interest in special education, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing, inclusive setting where you can make a lasting difference in pupils' lives.
Your role will involve:
Planning and delivering personalised lessons tailored to pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, MLD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties
Creating a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs to provide holistic support
Using EHCPs and assessment data to guide learning and set realistic, aspirational targets
Fostering independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through a child-centred approach
We're looking for someone who:
Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has experience teaching in an SEN or mainstream setting
Demonstrates empathy, patience, and creativity in their teaching
Understands the importance of communication and routine for pupils with SEN
Is confident managing behaviour positively and adaptively
Is open to long-term roles with the potential for permanent placement
