Salary: GBP105GBP115 per day
Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
DBS: Enhanced DBS required (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
We are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic SEN Classroom Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in primary schools across Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in nurturing and inclusive school environments, providing vital support to pupils who require additional help in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
Assist class teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
Support children in managing their emotions and behaviour in the classroom
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Two recent and relevant references
A caring, patient, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
