SEN Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Specialist Provision in Mainstream Setting – Slough, Berkshire – September 2025 Start
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: MPS1 (ECT Scale)
A large and inclusive secondary school in Slough is looking to appoint a committed SEN Early Career Teacher (ECT) to work within their outstanding SEND department, starting in September 2025. This role would suit a compassionate and motivated teacher passionate about inclusive education.

This is a school that places diversity and inclusion at the heart of its mission. The SEND department supports a range of learners including those with ASD, SEMH, and MLD, within a mainstream environment that offers tailored support and highly trained staff.
Your Role
Teach a small group of students with EHCPs in either a nurture or support-based setting; adapt the curriculum using differentiated resources; collaborate with SENCOs, TAs, and external professionals; and contribute to EHCP reviews. You’ll receive ongoing mentoring and full access to SEN-specific CPD and resources.
Ideal Candidate
You have experience working with pupils with additional needs and will achieve QTS by July 2025. You are empathetic, structured, and a clear communicator, with a strong grasp of differentiation, behaviour support, and inclusion strategies.
