Position: Part-Time English Teacher (KS3–KS4) Location: Greenwich Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London Day Rate) Contract: Part-time, long-term role Smart Teachers is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Part-Time English Teacher to join independent college in Greenwich from September 2025, working two days per week, supporting learners at Key Stages 3 and 4. Strong pastoral culture – staff build close relationships with pupils and their families to understand their needs . The role: Deliver creative, differentiated English lessons (KS3–KS4), with emphasis on literacy and exam technique. Contribute to a curriculum embedding strong career-readiness and self-development. Track pupil progress, work with small groups, provide feedback and contribute to intervention strategies. Support the pastoral ethos: foster resilience, self-regulation and confidence in learners. The ideal candidate: Holds QTS (Open to Unqualified) (or equivalent) with recent KS3 and KS4 teaching experience. Knows how to build positive relationships with young people. Is reflective, data-aware, and skilled in effective feedback and behaviour management. Is adaptable, collaborative, and willing to embrace a small-school environment.
