SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant – West Drayton Area (via Teaching Personnel)
Day Rate: £127.43 – £135.94
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Work Pattern: Term time + INSET days (195 days per year)
Contract: Permanent
Pension: 26.4% employer’s contribution
Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary academy in the West Drayton area of West London. The school is a key part of a well-regarded Multi-Academy Trust, offering opportunities to collaborate and access high-quality professional development across several schools.
We are seeking to appoint a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives, particularly those with special educational needs who require targeted support to access the curriculum.
The successful candidate will:
Provide a calm and supportive environment for pupils with SEN, especially those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
Act as a trusted adult for children requiring secure attachments
Build confidence and independence in pupils, helping them to engage in mainstream learning
Support reintegration into mainstream settings for pupils who require additional guidance
Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Manage and deploy additional SEN support staff for interventions and time-out strategies
Communicate effectively with families and carers
Identify needs for external professional input
Contribute to the ongoing development of SEMH provision within the school
Demonstrate commitment to the success and wellbeing of all pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
