Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEN School - September start
Remedy are currently working with an inspirational SEN School in Greenwich who are looking for passionate and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils. This role is to start in September on a full-time or part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their progress and development inside and outside the classroom.

The school supports pupils aged 11-19 and there are opportunities to support pupils across all year groups depending on your preference and specialism.
The school has an outstanding supportive environment and Leadership Team. With staff cohesion being pivotal, allowing them to work as a Team within classrooms to provide the highest possible standard of support to pupils.Responsibilities:
The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
The school supports pupils with varying SEND and challenging behaviour, aged 11-19. There are roles available to support pupils across this age-range depending on the preference, experience and skill set of the successful Candidate.
Additionally, some pupils may be none-verbal and some may require Personal Care so a willingness to support pupils in these contexts is key.
A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
In addition to TA responsibilities you will also be responsible for covering classes for teachers, and supporting PPA together with all the preparation for cover.Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (required)
Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff
A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two yearsAbout the role:

Hours: 8:45am-3:30pm
