SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Join Tradewind and support an SEN school in Swindon this September!
📍 Swindon | Full-Time or Part-Time | Term-Time Only | Starting September 2025 - Flexible working options are available.
Do you have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEMH, EBD, or additional learning needs? Are you an experienced HLTA looking for your next rewarding opportunity in education?
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a range of excellent SEN schools and alternative provisions in Swindon and surrounding areas of Wiltshire. From September 2025, we're keen to welcome resilient, caring, and confident SEN HLTAs to join our dedicated supply team on long-term placements.
💡 The Role at a Glance:
Full-time or part-time (to suit your availability) | Term-time only | Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm
Long-term opportunities with the chance of permanent contracts for the right candidates
Work with students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) and EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties)
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
Step in to cover pre-planned lessons where required - no planning involved!
Provide stability and encouragement as a trusted adult in the classroom, supporting pupils academically and emotionally
🌟 What We're Looking For:
A confident HLTA, or an experienced TA ready to step up!
Ideally 6+ months of experience in a school or specialist setting (though we welcome strong applicants with the right attitude)
Someone calm, consistent, and confident in managing challenging behaviour
A proactive team player with great communication skills
Resilient, reliable, and passionate about helping young people reach their potential
💷 Pay & Benefits:
Daily pay: £100-£130 (dependent on experience)
Weekly PAYE - no hidden agency costs
September start dates with long-term stability available

Have at least 6 months' experience in education (SEN experience desirable)
Be eligible to work in the UK
Be happy to complete an Enhanced DBS check
