SEN Learning Mentor - Secondary SEN School - Southwark - Immediate Start
Location: Southwark, South East London
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term, full-time
Daily Rate: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
School Type: Secondary SEN School (KS3 - KS4)

Remedy Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established secondary SEN school in Southwark, seeking a skilled and committed SEN Learning Mentor to join their team. The role is ideal for someone experienced in working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other complex needs in a secondary school setting.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students aged 11-16
Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic engagement
Build positive relationships and act as a trusted mentor and role model
Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, therapists, and external agencies
Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting young people with SEN, particularly in a secondary or specialist setting
Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and related needs
Confident, calm, and resilient under pressure
Able to build rapport with students who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education
Team player with excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Relevant experience or qualifications in education, youth work, or psychology (desirable)
