Salary: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs?
We’re working with a fantastic Complex SEN School in Erdington who are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people with a range of complex learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
The Role
*
Providing 1:1 support to pupils with complex needs.
*
Supporting small group learning sessions under the guidance of the class teacher.
*
Assisting with the development of communication, sensory and emotional regulation strategies.
*
Helping to create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment.
*
Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to deliver individualised learning plans.
The Ideal Candidate
*
Experience working with pupils with complex SEN (e.g. autism, PMLD, SLD, SEMH).
*
Calm, patient and adaptable with strong communication skills.
*
A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
*
Team player who can build strong relationships with staff and pupils alike.
*
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care, Psychology, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
