About the Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a range of special educational needs. Your role will involve supporting students to access the curriculum, promoting independence, and fostering a safe and welcoming learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is empathetic, proactive, and committed to supporting children's development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with SEN in both classroom and small group settings
Assisting with personal care and behaviour management as required
Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and learning programmes
Promoting positive behaviour and social interaction
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student progress
Encouraging independence and confidence among students
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred but not essential
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable
Strong communication and teamworking skills
Enthusiastic and committed to inclusive education
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable
