Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a welcoming and inclusive school in the Reading area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents Promote the development of students’ social skills, independence, and confidence Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential) A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting learning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team A relevant qualification in education or care (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) is advantageous Why Register with Teaching Personnel?
