Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant - Lewisham
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £95 - £115 per day
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Do you have experience working with pupils with severe autism, challenging behaviours, and providing personal care?
Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and inclusive SEN school in Lewisham this September. The school supports children and young people with a range of complex needs, and is looking for staff who are confident, compassionate, and ready to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with severe autism and complex learning difficulties in a classroom-based environment
Assisting with personal care, including toileting and hygiene
Supporting pupils with mobility needs, including wheelchair hoisting (training can be provided)
Helping to manage harmful or challenging behaviour in a calm, supportive way
Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to help students achieve their individual goals
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in a SEN setting or similar environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations
Comfortable with personal care and mobility support
Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
