Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to thrive? Teaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and reliable SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide outreach support to students across Plymouth. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working 1:1, is confident travelling between sites and wants to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
About the role:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN, often outside of mainstream school settings.
Build positive relationships and act as a role model to encourage engagement in learning.
Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and learning development.
Liaise with schools, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of support.
Flexible timetable with a focus on student-centred learning.

Requirements:
Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
Must hold business insurance for travel to and from outreach locations.
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (professional or personal).
Ability to work independently and adapt support to individual needs.
Strong communication and empathy skills.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Plymouth and surrounding areas
Salary: £90–£95 per day (depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
