Job Description
Smile Education is proud to be working in partnership with a large specialist SEN school in Rowley Regis, supporting their recruitment of SEN Teaching Assistants needed to support students in KS4 and KS5. This role is offered on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a passionate and dedicated team making a real difference to the lives of children and young people with a wide range of complex needs.
About the School:
The school supports pupils aged 14-19 with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including:
Moderate, severe, and profound learning difficulties
Autism and associated communication challenges
Complex medical conditions and physical/mobility difficulties
Behavioural needs related to medical or neurodevelopmental conditionsPupils are supported in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, with a focus on tailored learning, care, and social development.
What We’re Looking For:
A relevant Level 2 or higher qualification (education or youth-related)
Recent experience (within the past 12 months) in a similar SEND support role
Confident supporting students independently and in small groups
A flexible and proactive approach to working across various needs and age groups
A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and inclusive education
