We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Lecturer with experience in teaching learners with SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) to join our Supported Learning team at our Hayes Campus.
The Role:
You will design and deliver high-quality, person-centred education programmes for students aged 1625 with complex learning needs. These learners may have significant communication, sensory, and physical support needs. Your role will include:
Planning and delivering tailored sessions in communication, life skills, sensory learning, and functional skills.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, including LSAs, therapists, and external agencies.
Creating differentiated and accessible learning materials and resources.
Monitoring progress using EHCP outcomes and RARPA frameworks.
Embedding a holistic, inclusive, and aspirational approach in all you do.
What Were Looking For:
A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
Experience teaching learners with SLD and PMLD in a school or college setting.
Sound knowledge of Makaton, PECS, Intensive Interaction, AAC, or similar approaches.
A flexible, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, EHCPs, and person-centred planning.
Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals.
