Full-Time Maths Teacher – SEMH School – Stoke-on-Trent
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Temp-to-Perm opportunities available)
Salary: Competitive – MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)

We are currently working in close partnership with a well-established SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in the Stoke area, seeking an experienced and committed Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who thrives on making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people who have struggled in mainstream education. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team in a nurturing and supportive environment where positive relationships and personalised learning are at the heart of everything they do.
🔍 The Role:
*
Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
*
Plan, assess, and track progress for learners with SEMH needs and associated challenges (e.g. ADHD, ASD, trauma)
*
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes personal and academic growth
*
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership to support students’ holistic development
✅ The Ideal Candidate:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – not required but prefered
*
Experience teaching in SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, or mainstream settings with challenging behaviour – highly desirable
*
Strong behaviour management strategies and an empathetic, trauma-informed approach
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs
