SEN/Mental Health Teaching Assistant A fantastic mainstream school in Bristol - Lawrence Weston area - are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant with SEN/Mental Health experience to join their team long-term, starting immediately. They offer schooling for children between 11 and 16 years and have pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and behaviour challenges. The school specialises in not only providing integrated education, but also therapeutic support for every child with a significant focus on wellbeing. As a SEN/Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will be help to provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, and help to monitor their academic achievements, as well as their emotional well being. You will help to increase their interpersonal and social skills, ensuring when they leave school, they will succeed. You will also help encourage pupils to make positive decisions, and help them cope with any challenges they face. * £90 - £100 per day, dependent on experience * September 2025 * Bristol - BS11 * Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm * Graduate Opportunity (Psychology, Criminology) About the role * Assist students with their learning activities * Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs). * Collaborate with educators to adapt resources and strategies. * Foster a positive and encouraging environment within the classroom. About you * DBS Check required (We can assist with this) * Graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or criminology OR a good education background (GCSE's in Maths and English) plus prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
