Job Description
Hays Education works in partnership with a SEN Nursery in Leicester who require specialist SEN Nursery Practitioners for day-to-day and long-term cover. This is a term-time only position. The ideal candidate has experience supporting children with complex special educational needs and/or disabilities in an early years setting. If this sounds like you, please apply through our portal.
Your new school
This SEN nursery provision in Leicester supports pupils aged between 2 and 5 years old with complex and enduring special educational needs and/or disability. Pupils benefit from the support of specialist practitioners who work hard to provide an inclusive Early Years education for SEN children from across Leicester. The school boasts a light room, spa room, soft play room and ICT suite - all of which contribute to a holistic approach to SEN education.
Your new role
In this job as an SEN Nursery Practitioner, you'll work with a team of specialists to support pupils with a range of additional needs to access this schools' bespoke curriculum. Alongside delivering this sensory-focused curriculum you'll support children with personal care and mobility. Hays SEN Practitioners make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You'll benefit from on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in your new job, you'll have experience working with SEN children agedbetween 2 and 5 years old. You'll be proactive and adaptable to working with children with a range of complex educational and physical needs. You'll be prepared to take on full-time hours on a term-time only basis. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school and ready toquickly build relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents.
