Prospero Teaching is delighted to be supporting a welcoming Primary School in Chichester who are seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher to join their SEN nurture group provision from January 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting pupils with social, emotional, and learning needs in a safe, structured, and caring environment. The nurture group provides a smaller, more personalised setting where children can rebuild confidence, develop resilience, and re‑engage with learning.
About the Role
Delivering high‑quality teaching within the nurture group, tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
Planning and delivering personalised interventions that focus on both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
Creating and adapting resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners
Supporting pupils to develop social skills, self‑esteem, and positive relationships with peers and adults
Working closely with the SENCo, Headteacher, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support
Promoting inclusion and helping pupils transition successfully back into mainstream classes when appropriate
What we're looking for:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2, ideally with SEN or nurture group involvement
Strong understanding of nurture principles and inclusive practice
Empathy, patience, and creativity in supporting children with additional needs
A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally

Duration: Long‑term, ongoing
Hours: Full‑time, Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:00pm)
Pay: In line with Main Teacher Pay Scale
