SEN Primary Teacher Mainstream Primary School | Worthing, West Sussex Contract: Full-time | Permanent Start Date: January 2026 Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) About the School Masterclass are working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school with a strong commitment to ensuring every child achieves their full potential. They pride themselves on providing high-quality teaching and targeted support for pupils with special educational needs, working closely with families and external professionals to promote inclusion, wellbeing, and achievement. The Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to support pupils with a range of additional needs within our mainstream setting. The role involves planning and teaching small intervention groups, providing targeted in-class support, and working closely with the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies. Key Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching tailored to individual pupil needs. * Plan and implement targeted interventions to support progress. * Adapt curriculum content, resources, and assessment to ensure accessibility. * Support pupils with EHCPs and contribute to reviews and reports. * Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCO, parents, and external agencies. * Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records. * Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school. The Ideal Candidate You will be a reflective and nurturing practitioner who: * Holds QTS (ECTs welcome to apply). * Has experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream primary setting. * Has a secure understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation strategies. * Is confident working with pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, speech and language, SEMH, cognition and learning). * Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
