We are currently working with a nurturing and inclusive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in the Stoke-on-Trent area that is seeking a full-time Science Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team.
This role is ideal for a passionate educator who believes in the power of positive relationships and creative teaching to transform the lives of young people who have faced barriers in mainstream education. 🧪 The Role:

Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (biology, chemistry, and physics strands)
*
Differentiate content to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of pupils with SEMH needs
*
Collaborate with pastoral staff and SEN professionals to support each student’s academic and emotional development
*
Play a key role in improving outcomes for learners who may have experienced trauma, anxiety, or behavioural challenges
✅ The Ideal Candidate:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – not essential but preferred
*
Experience teaching Science in SEMH, PRUs, alternative provision, or challenging mainstream environments – highly desirable
*
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills with a calm, therapeutic approach
*
Passionate about inclusion and driven to support students beyond the classroom
*
Able to create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment
