SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant

Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Term-time only

About the Role:
As an SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive learning experience for students with a variety of special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure every pupil receives the tailored guidance they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils engage with learning
Assisting teachers in adapting lessons, resources and activities to meet individual needs
Supporting students’ emotional regulation, confidence and independence
Helping implement positive behaviour support strategies
Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to deliver personalised learning plans
This role would suit someone who is patient, nurturing and committed to helping young people with complex needs thrive both academically and emotionally.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience within an SEN or SEMH setting is desirable, but not essential, enthusiastic and dedicated applicants are welcome

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
