Location: Ystrad Mynach, South Wales Pay Rate: £89.38 per day Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Contract: Full Academic Year About the Role Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient and committed SEN Student Support to provide dedicated 1:1 support for young people with a range of disabilities and Special Education Needs (SEN) to join a dedicated SEN school in Ystrad Mynach, supporting pupils aged 3 to 19. The school is passionate about delivering high-quality learning experiences and actively involves pupils in shaping its future direction! This role is ideal for individuals with a calm, patient approach who are confident working with children and young people across all key stages. It is a hands-on position that requires flexibility and a strong sense of resilience, as each day can bring new challenges. Resilient, patient and understanding attitude Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs where required. Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and challenging behaviours (desirable) Deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support during lessons and daily activities tailored to individual pupil need The ability to implement strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour effectively A commitment to encouraging the pupil’s engagement, confidence, and emotional development Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment Requirements (or willing to apply for) Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain: Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service Level 2 Safeguarding training At least two professional references covering 24 months of employment Why Choose Teaching Personnel?
