SEN Support Assistant - Secondary SEN School - Southwark
Location: Southwark, South East London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP
Pay Rate: £95-£115 per day (dependent on experience)
Remedy Recruitment Group are currently looking to appoint an experienced SEN Support Assistant for a long-term position in a secondary special needs school in Southwark. This is a full-time role supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, sensory impairments, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Role Responsibilities:
Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis in and out of the classroom
Assisting with communication and learning tasks tailored to individual EHCPs
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
Providing personal care when required (training provided if necessary)
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Candidate Requirements:
Experience working within an SEN or secondary school environment
Comfortable supporting students with complex needs and personal care
Strong communication, patience, and resilience
Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
