SEN Support Staff (FULL-TIME)

Birmingham

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate FULL-TIME SEN Support Staff to work within welcoming and supportive schools across Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a real difference in the lives of students who require additional support to reach their full potential.

About the Role

As a FULL-TIME SEN Support Staff member, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. You will collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables every student to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Support students both inside and outside of the classroom.
Assist with implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans.
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
Support students with personal care needs where required.

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals.
Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build rapport and support positive outcomes.
A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.

Essential Requirements

FULL-TIME availability (Monday to Friday)
Eligible to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Ability to travel to schools across Birmingham

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
