Sen Support Worker September 2025 Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire Fixed Term Contract for 1 year initally £24,483 £26,537 – (Actual Salary - 39 Weeks a Year (Dependent on experience) 37 Hours a week 8.30am - 4pm Do you have a passion for inspiring children to bring out their full potential? We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and inspirational Support Worker to work with children who are at risk of permanent exclusion or who have been permanently excluded from mainstream primary school. There is a varied cohort of children who come to them for a two-term placement to support their social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. They offer intensified outreach and short-term provision for primary school aged children who are at risk of permanent exclusion. Children who attend the Centre will receive bespoke therapeutic packages of support. These are designed to help children develop the skills they would need to be successful in their mainstream school. They are also able to provide short-term educational support JOB DESCRIPTION * Sen Support Worker * To work with Primary aged children whose behaviour puts them at risk of permanent exclusion * To support Primary education colleagues within their own settings to effectively support children and young people with SEMH needs. * To provide targeted and specialist behaviour support via Primary outreach. * £24,483 £26,537 – (Actual Salary - 39 Weeks a Year (Dependent on experience) * 37 Hours a week * 1 year fixed term contract initally * Located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire PERSON SPECIFICATION * Substantial experience as a practitioner in supporting children and young people with SEMH (preferably aged 5-11), and confidence in using a child centred approach to work through planning and evaluating practices * Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEN strategies and approaches * Be caring, patient, and able to build positive relationships with children * Be reliable, adaptable, and a proactive team player SCHOOL DETAILS * Graded ‘Good’ in latest Ofsted report * Modern & creative facilities throughout * Good Train and bus links * Carpark onsite If you are interested in this Sen Support Worker role, Interviews can be arranged immediately!!
