This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), or behavioural challenges. Responsibilities of a SEN Support Worker: Provide 1:1 support for pupils with challenging behaviour, Autism, SEMH and mental health needs Help promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and a safe learning space Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to provide consistent, tailored support Working with children in the classroom setting Managing challenging behaviour Working with students one-to-one and small groups Requirements for SEN Support Worker: Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar (preferred, not essential). Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs (preferred, not essential). Experience working with SEN (in school, care, or voluntary settings) preferred, not essential Can engage children in and out of the classroom  Feels confident managing challenging behaviour  Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies. Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.
