Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Are you a patient, nurturing, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the DN5 area. This is a full-time role, supporting a child with additional needs to access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN (including behaviour, communication, or learning needs)
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised strategies
Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic progress
Monitor and report on the pupil's development and adapt approaches as required
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in making a difference
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training) are desirable
