Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Health & Social Care Focus) Location: Kensington Start Date: ASAP Join an Inclusive and Supportive Learning Community A Sixth Form College in Kensington are a dynamic and forward-thinking institution committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. They are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team, with a particular focus on supporting students studying Health and Social Care or those with additional learning needs in that subject area. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, both in and outside the classroom. This role will particularly suit someone with a background in Health and Social Care who understands the subject content and can provide tailored academic and emotional support to learners pursuing qualifications in this field. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, particularly within Health and Social Care classes. * Work closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning plans and adapt materials as needed. * Assist in monitoring student progress and contribute to reviews and meetings. * Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement with learning. * Support students with personal care needs (if applicable and training provided). About You We are looking for someone who is: * Passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed. * Experienced or qualified in Health and Social Care (Level 3 qualification or above desirable). * Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in approach. * A team player with excellent communication skills. * Experienced in working with young people with additional needs (preferred but not essential).
