Job Description
Coba Education is currently recruiting for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Northampton on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting their academic, emotional, and social development. The successful candidate will work both 1:1 and in small groups, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO, to ensure that every child is given the best opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social-emotional challenges.
*
Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
*
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.
*
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*
Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
*
Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
*
Monitor and record pupil progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
*
Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is essential.
*
A relevant TA qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
*
Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
*
A patient, positive, and proactive approach.
*
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
