About the Role
The Education Network is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to make a real difference in their learning journey.
You will be working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.
Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
Manage challenging behaviour in line with school policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or similar setting).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, supportive, and patient approach.
Ability to remain calm and flexible in challenging situations.
