SEND Teacher - Autism Resource Base (Primary)
Merton | Full-Time | September 2025 Start
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Merton to appoint an experienced SEND Teacher for their well-established Autism Resource Base, starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver meaningful, personalised teaching to a small group of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, within a calm, structured, and well-supported setting.
The Role:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons using structured approaches such as TEACCH, PECS, and visual supports.
Lead a small class with the support of skilled LSAs, working closely with the SENCO and therapy teams.
Promote communication, independence, and emotional regulation, while supporting EHCP targets and academic progress.Who We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEND, ideally in an ASC or resource base setting.
Confident using autism-specific strategies and managing sensory and communication needs.
Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice.Why Work with Tradewind?
