Job Description

We are supporting an Alternative Provision in Hammersmith to recruit a skilled and resilient SEND Teacher to join them on a long-term or permanent basis. This AP supports pupils who have struggled to engage in mainstream settings and presents a highly nurturing, therapeutic, and behaviour-informed environment.
 
The leadership team is looking for a teacher who understands the complexities of Alternative Provision and is passionate about helping students re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop emotional regulation skills.
 
The Role

Teaching a small class of KS3/KS4 students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, and behavioural complexities
Delivering creative, differentiated lessons that prioritise emotional wellbeing and functional progress
Working closely with therapists, mentors, and AP support staff
Maintaining a calm, structured, safe environment where high expectations are paired with strong relational practice 
Requirements

QTS or QTLS essential
Experience working in an AP, PRU, SEMH school, or high-needs SEND environment
Strong behaviour management and a nurturing, de-escalation-led approach
Ability to build rapport quickly and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
