SEN Teacher – New Ash Green, Kent

Location: New Ash Green, Kent
 Role: SEN Teacher
 Contract: Full-time / Part-time
 Start Date: 20/04/26

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to support pupils with special educational needs in a school based in New Ash Green, Kent. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with proven SEN experience who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities – SEN Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
Support pupils with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification – essential
Previous experience working with children with SEN – essential
Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
