SEN Teacher – Maternity Cover
Location: Leeds
Start Date: Mid-May
Pay: £170 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting on a maternity cover basis starting mid-May. This is a full-time role, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting pupils with complex and multiple learning needs.
The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, working with students who require highly personalised approaches to learning, including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, and associated needs.
The Role:
Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual learning needs
Support pupils with complex and multiple learning difficulties
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting approaches where needed
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with students with complex and multiple learning needs
Strong understanding of SEN, including PMLD, ASC, and communication needs
Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
Confident managing behaviours and supporting emotional regulation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
