SEN Teacher - Full-Time Opportunity (Specialist Secondary Provision)

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established specialist school in West London to recruit a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team.

The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils working at a range of levels. You will plan and deliver a tailored curriculum that meets individual EHCP outcomes, with a strong focus on functional skills, communication, and personal development.
Working closely with a dedicated team of teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders, you will help create a consistent and supportive learning environment where every young person is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering differentiated lessons for secondary-aged pupils with complex SEND needs.
Supporting the development of communication, social skills, and independence.
Implementing structured teaching strategies and personalised learning approaches.
Tracking and assessing pupil progress against EHCP targets and developmental goals.
Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families.
Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, structured learning environment.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with pupils with autism and/or complex learning needs (secondary-aged preferred).
Strong understanding of SEND pedagogy and differentiated teaching strategies.
Confidence using structured approaches, visual supports, and communication systems (e.g., AAC).
Excellent classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills.
A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to teaching.
