Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Chelsmford (Primary & Secondary SEN Schools)

Job Type: Full-Time (5 days a week), Long-Term 

Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Chelsmford (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams
Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroomCandidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
PGCE or equivalent training
Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary)
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamWhat's on Offer
