Position: SEN Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: Specialist SEN School, Oldham
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (MPS/UPS + SEN allowance)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:40pm
Start Date: Immediate - ASAP - to end of summer term
About the Role:
Value Education is seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher to join an outstanding specialist school in Oldham, supporting students with Autism (ASC), SEMH, and complex learning needs. Key Responsibilities:
✔ Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCPs and sensory needs.
✔ Use PECS, Makaton, or AAC to support non-verbal learners.
✔ Collaborate with therapists, TAs, and SENCO to create a trauma-informed classroom.
✔ Track progress through IEPs and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
✔ Foster social and emotional development through structured routines and positive behaviour support.
Ideal Candidate:
✅ Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS) with SEN experience (ASC/SEMH essential).
✅ Proven ability to engage disaffected learners and manage challenging behaviours.
✅ Training in Team Teach, SCERTS, or similar frameworks (desirable).
✅ Resilient, patient, and passionate about inclusive education.
