SEN Teacher About the role Are you a passionate and experienced teacher with a deep commitment to supporting children with autism? Do you have the drive, empathy, and professional skills to make a genuine impact in a specialised, nurturing environment? This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join one of Barnet’s leading Additional Resource Provisions as a full-time SEN teacher. This well-established provision is renowned in the borough for its excellence in SEND support and is led by an award-winning SEN specialist, known for her inspirational leadership, vision, and unwavering support for staff and pupils alike. You will be part of a setting that is respected for its nurturing ethos, high standards, and collaborative team environment. You’ll be leading a small KS2 class of autistic children, most of whom are working towards early learning goals. One child will have a dedicated 1:1 due to regulation needs. You will have full classroom responsibility, including planning and leading a team of two experienced teaching assistants. Ideal candidate We are seeking a qualified teacher (QTS) who is: • Confident in managing a team and planning inclusive, personalised lessons • Calm, professional, and compassionate in approach • Comfortable supporting personal care • Competent using technology and Widgit for communication and learning support • Experienced in working with children with autism and SEND With just 20 children across two well-equipped classrooms, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a measurable difference in a well-supported environment where your skills and dedication will be recognised and valued.
