SEN Teacher – Medical Provision (PRU) – Islington Location – ASAP Start or September 2025

Our medical provision within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Islington is seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to deliver personalised learning to KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH and additional SEN needs.
About the Role – SEN Teacher
You will be teaching small groups (maximum 8 students) and offering 1:1 support, working with learners who are unable to attend mainstream school due to mental health challenges or other complex needs.
Your responsibilities will include – SEN Teacher
* Delivering KS3/KS4 Science to small groups of SEMH/SEN learners
* Providing 1:1 academic support in Maths, English, and Science
* Teaching a generic, theory-based Level 1 vocational course
* Creating flexible, engaging lessons that meet the needs of individuals with EHCPs
* Supporting students emotionally and socially to re-engage with learning
About You – SEN Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
* Experience working with vulnerable learners in PRU, SEMH, SEN or AP settings
* Strong subject knowledge in Science (plus confidence across core subjects)
* Empathetic, calm, and resilient approach
* Ability to personalise learning and build strong, positive relationships
