Job Title: SEN Teacher
Area: Southeast London

Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £39,000 (dependent on experience)
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
About the school:
A specialist independent school for pupils aged 4-18 with SEND including ASD, SEMH, and ADHD. The school offers tailored learning pathways, therapeutic support, and small class sizes.
About the role:
You will plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons across core subjects to students with EHCPs, using trauma-informed approaches and differentiated strategies.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
Deliver engaging, adaptive lessons for SEN learners
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Support students' social and emotional development
Work closely with the SENCO and therapy team
Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
Requirements -
QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Experience in SEN, SEMH or alternative provisions
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Strong behaviour management skills
Passion for inclusive education
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs
An understanding of trauma-informed practices
Flexibility to teach across different key stages
A nurturing, resilient approach to teaching
