Description Job Title: SEN Class Teacher Location: Hillingdon, Greater London Start Date: September 2025 Salary: £190 – £230 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanency) About the Role: We are seeking to appoint a committed, experienced, and highly motivated SEN Class Teacher to join the staff of a well-established and supportive special needs primary school in Hillingdon. This is a full-time role commencing in September 2025, working with pupils who have a wide range of complex learning needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and other developmental and sensory processing conditions. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and skilled teacher to play a central role in the educational and personal development of pupils with special educational needs. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to primary-aged pupils with a variety of SEN diagnoses, ensuring lessons are adapted and differentiated according to each child’s EHCP. * Use a range of inclusive teaching methods to promote pupil engagement and facilitate progress in both academic and social development. * Develop and implement personalised behaviour support strategies in collaboration with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff. * Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists. * Lead and manage support staff (e.g., SEN Teaching Assistants) within the classroom, ensuring consistency of approach and positive pupil outcomes. * Monitor and assess student progress using appropriate assessment tools; contribute to reviews and target-setting in line with EHCPs. * Establish and maintain clear communication with parents and carers, offering regular updates and supporting the home-school partnership. * Maintain accurate records in accordance with safeguarding, SEND Code of Practice, and school policies.
