Progress Teachers are working closely with a rural Alternative Education Provider to appoint a skilled and qualified SEN Teacher to form part of a successful multi-disciplinary team and support pupils aged 7-17 with ASC & SEMH.
This position is to be initially offered on a fixed term basis from August-December 2025 but will be subject to review.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver individual and small group lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum
Develop and review individual education and behaviour plans
Monitor, record, and report student progress
Manage and support challenging behaviour positively and effectively
Collaborate with care staff and other departments to ensure consistent support
Organise a stimulating and safe classroom environment
Ensure safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students
Maintain accurate records and contribute to school development plans
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is highly desirable.
DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
Experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
