SEN Teacher (Complex Needs & Autism)

Are you an experienced, passionate, and creative SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and well-resourced specialist school for students aged 4-19 with a range of learning differences.
The Role:
You will be leading a class of 8 students aged 12-15 years, all working at a V2-V4. The students have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition, Global Developmental Delay, and associated conditions. Some present with behaviours that challenge, but all are supported by well-established systems and a skilled multidisciplinary team.
Your classroom will include:
Students who are mostly non-verbal and communicate using body language, facial expressions, PECS, AAC devices, and visual supports.
A highly structured learning environment with the use of visual timetables, 'Now & Next' boards, sensory stories, intensive interaction, and other specialist strategies.
A focus on delivering a personalised curriculum including core subjects through creative, multi-sensory, and practical approaches.
A strong emphasis on communication, emotional regulation, and life skills development.

What We're Looking For:
A qualified SEN teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in working with pupils with SEND, especially those with autism and complex learning needs
Someone who is proactive, flexible, and passionate about inclusive education
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a nurturing and resilient attitude
