Academics Ltd is proud to be supporting an inclusive and nurturing Primary SEN School in Colchester seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN Teacher to join their team in September 2025.
This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be paid in line with the Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale, depending on experience.
🧠 The Role:
Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to KS2 pupils with complex learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
Work closely with a team of supportive LSAs, therapists, and the SENCO.
Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Use creative teaching methods to support pupils' EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
✅ What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Proven experience teaching in SEN or inclusive mainstream settings (KS2 focus preferred)
A calm, patient and adaptive teaching style
Knowledge of EHCPs, behaviour management strategies, and multi-sensory teaching
Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners
