Job Description

Start: September | Teaching Learners with SEN Do you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you confident teaching Maths, English, or Science across Key Stages 1 to 4, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet individual learning needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated teachers  to deliver education to pupils with SEN who may be out of  mainstream school, in alternative provision, or on reduced timetables. Your role will be to re-engage these learners through patient, structured teaching. About the Role: Provide teaching in Maths, English, or Science for SEN learners (KS1–KS4) Use strategies for supporting a wide range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more Build trust and promote a positive learning experience through encouragement and consistency Help pupils regain routine, confidence, and academic progress through small, achievable goals We’re Looking For: Experience supporting pupils with SEN, either in mainstream, special schools, or alternative settings Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science (up to GCSE level) Ability to adapt teaching style to meet diverse learning needs Calm, patient, and nurturing approach Good understanding of how SEN can affect learning, behaviour, and communication Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we can support) Right to work in the UK Strong knowledge of safeguarding and working with vulnerable learners A passion for inclusive education and student-centred learning Why Join Teaching Personnel Good competitive pay based on where you are on the teacher scale (PAYE – no umbrella deductions) Local and flexible work  placements that match your availability and subject expertise Regular CPD, including training on SEN support and inclusive teaching strategies Dedicated consultant to support you with SEN-specific placements A meaningful role helping pupils with SEN achieve their potential Send your CV to:  Call us on: (phone number removed) to speak with our SEN tutoring team All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
